Hi, i’m Tom Dauben, a photographer based in West Devon, specialising in creating authentic images of nature, events and for brands without any post processing.

I’ve created a landscape photography book of Dartmoor National Park, ‘Dartmoor Unedited’, crammed full of over 130 Dartmoor photos, available in my shop. Check out my portfolio for local images from Devon, and my documentary travel photography from further afield.

If you need a photographer to create visuals for your brand, or documentary photography for an event, then head to my work with me page to see what I can offer and some examples of my previous work with testimonials from clients.

I am a Proud member of Nature First, promoting environmentally responsible photography. Having worked in the environmental sector for 20 years I know how to bring environmental stories to life through my images. I continually try and make my work more sustainable, all my books, prints and notebooks are created with the environment in mind, being either carbon neutral, or created with sustainable materials, or both.

2026 Workshops

Want to improve your photographic skills?

Are you interested in getting more out of your images ‘in camera’?

I’ve created a set of beginner friendly photography workshops based in Dartmoor Natoinal Park. These 3 hour sessions will involve a visit to an iconic Dartmoor location with tuition as part of a small group to help learn or improve your photographic skills. You don’t need ‘fancy’ gear, bring what you have - phones or high end kit are equally fine.

We will cover topics such as:

  • Identifying photographic subjects

  • How to compose beautiful images both using some ‘rules’, and ignoring them

  • Learning what you’re trying to ‘say’ with a photograph to help convey emotion

  • How to work with the available light on the day

  • What settings you can use on your camera to make the most of the conditions in the field without post processing

Most importantly I believe that learning should be enjoyable. The atmosphere will be relaxed and engaging, and you can feel comfortable to ask questions, experiment with new approaches, and share your love of photography with the group. We may even play some games to encourage you to see things differently, helping you develop your photographer’s eye.

NEW: 2026 Dartmoor Calendar

My 2026 Dartmoor National Park landscape photography calendar is produced in premium A3 format, using sustainable papers and printed carbon neutrally. It features 12 images from around the national park, from waterfalls, to ponies, tors, woodland, and moody weather.

It is A3 in size and vertical in orientation. Each page features a square image, with plenty of space beneath in the date section to note down your commitments and important dates.

The calendar is printed to the highest standards on an HP digital litho press, with a 400 GSM front and rear cover with a gloss finish, and 200 GSM silk inner pages. Each page is printed front and back to reduce paper usage, and is wire bound with a loop for hanging.

As this is my first time creating a calendar, so stock is extremely limited, get yours whilst they last!

Dartmoor Photography Book

In 2024 I released my first book ‘Dartmoor Unedited’. This coffee table photography book of Dartmoor National Park’s landscapes and habitats is reproduced in A4 hardback format. It features 154 pages, 137 images and no post processing.

This has been a labour of love, with over 6 years’ worth of images inside, capturing the many different aspects of Dartmoor, from its tors, to its woodlands, rivers, and moody weather. This contemporary Dartmoor photography book would be a great gift for any lover of Dartmoor National Park, or photography.

I have gone to huge lengths to ensure the production of this book has as light an impact on the planet as possible. It is printed carbon neutrally, the paper is sustainably sourced and FSC accredited, and the inks used in the printing are derived from vegetables.

If you’re looking for a photo book of Dartmoor National Park, this is for you.
